The Ludorum Method

Coaching built around you, somewhere you'll look forward to being.

Most people come to us for the same reasons. They want to get stronger, move better and feel good, and they want to do it somewhere discreet with a coach who knows them. That's really all the method is. Your session is planned before you arrive, the floor is yours for the hour, and we look after the detail so you don't have to.

How it works

Every session is one to one and lasts 55 minutes. We start from how you move now and build strength steadily, at a pace that suits you. Most clients train two or three times a week.

Come early for a coffee in the lounge. Take your time in the shower afterwards. There's no crowd and no rush.

Your first visit

  1. A conversation

We sit down in the consultation room and talk about your goals, your diary and anything we should know.

  2. A movement assessment

We have a relaxed look at how you move and where you're starting from, so your first programme fits you.

  3. Training

From then on, you just turn up. We review progress as we go.

If you'd like to go further

Some clients like a little more insight. It's entirely optional, and everything we use has the same purpose: to help us make better decisions about your training.

  • Blood testingYour results are interpreted by Dr Ali Joy. With your agreement, relevant findings are shared with your coach, so your programme takes account of what can't be seen on the gym floor.
  • WHOOPOnce your training and routine are established, your coach may offer you a WHOOP, at the club's expense. It tracks your sleep and recovery between sessions, so we can plan your week around how you're actually recovering.
